Save Time and Customize Your Workflow with Multimode
In fast-paced clinical environments, efficiency and consistency are essential. Optos supports practitioners with tools that simplify workflows and reduce imaging time—without compromising diagnostic quality. One such tool is Multimode, a feature that enables customized imaging sequences for rapid, comprehensive eye scans.
What Is Multimode?
Multimode is a workflow-enhancing feature available on MonacoPro, Silverstone, and California rgb devices. It allows you to create up to three pre-programmed imaging protocols, each combining up to five different imaging modalities.
For example, a glaucoma protocol on MonacoPro might include:
- Autofluorescence (af)
- Red/Green (rg) optomap
- Retina Topography OCT
- Optic Nerve Head (ONH) Topography OCT
Once configured, your device can capture both eyes in as little as two minutes, significantly reducing exam time and improving workflow.
Multimode vs. Multimodality
While all Optos UWF imaging devices support multiple imaging modalities, Multimode is a specific feature available only on Monaco, Silverstone, and California rgb devices. It allows you to create up to three pre-programmed imaging protocols, each combining up to five different modalities.
Benefits of Multimode
- Time-saving: Scan both eyes in as little as two minutes
- Customizable: Tailor imaging sequences to your clinic’s needs
- Consistent: Ensure uniform imaging across patients and visits
- Efficient: Reduce manual input and streamline patient flow
How to Set It Up
We’ve created a step-by-step guide to help you configure and activate Multimode on your device. It’s quick, easy, and designed to fit seamlessly into your workflow.
Not Using a Device That Supports Multimode?
If your current device doesn’t support Multimode, you may still benefit from multimodality—but upgrading to a Multimode-capable system could unlock new workflow advantages.
