Eye Steering with Daytona, California, Monaco, and Silverstone

To image the extreme periphery of a retina, beyond the 200 degrees already captured in an on-axis image, you have the option to perform eye steering on the Daytona, California, Monaco, and Silverstone device.

Select the blue Steering box on the right hand of the image box. This feature allows you to move the fixation target to change the patient’s gaze to capture more of the retina in the nasal, inferior, temporal, or superior directions.

Then you will align the patient in the same way you align your patient for an on-axis image, realigning until the target is centered over the pupil and the light turns green.
